    Business Need / Purpose of Role

    The Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for executing effective and efficient procurement and supply chain services, ensuring values and competencies in maintaining transparency, integrity and compliance with established rules and regulations for the establishment, review and approval of purchase requisitions, orders, agreements and invoices.

    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    Including but not limited to: 

    • Propose & Implement improvement to supply chain processes.
    • Conduct all work with due consideration to health, safety and environmental issues and where necessary after due assessment of risk employ appropriate controls to minimize any risk to people and premises
    • Conduct work with due regard to quality and commercial procedures such that risk to quality and financial exposure is contained within the company guidelines
    • Target for annual savings and methods of measuring actual cost savings should be established
    • Establish rate/long term contracts with existing/new vendors.
    • Ensure purchase orders are in accordance within delegated authority and the company is fully protected commercially
    • Manage relationships with and negotiate prices & terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders and contractors
    • Monitor and manage supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality delivery requirements in cost effective manner
    • Monitor and manage forecasts quotas to identify changes or to define their effect on supply chain activities.
    • Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, and to discuss production forecasts or changes.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as project team, quality assurance, production team, to identify or qualify new suppliers, develop procedures and cross-functional team awareness of supply chain with sales, marketing, finance, production, etc.
    • Analyze inventories to define how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, and optimize customer service.
    • Ensure supplier’s payment on time.

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Mechanical engineering discipline with diploma in supply chain would be added advantage
    • Minimum 7 years of experience in Oil and Gas Service Industry; 3 years in a supervisory role.
    • Ability to lead procurement processes using specific procurement methods and to analyze procurement and supply chain service requirements
    • Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving
    • Demonstrated experience using materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic
    • Accuracy and attention to detail
    • Decision making ability and troubleshooting skills
    • Must have the ability to work well as part of a team
    • Must possess superior communication with team members at all levels within the Company
    • Ability to multi-tasking.
