    Business Need / Purpose of Role

    To oversee the adherence to all Health, Safety and Environment Compliance. Drive towards a “Zero – Accident” culture. To oversee the completion of all hazards raised through Safety walk around, Safestart card and hazard notification.

    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    Including but not limited to: 

     

    • To maintain, develop and continually improve the company’s existing integrated management for Health & Safety and Environmental aspects of the business
    • Communicate with Company HSE team and Contractor’s specialists to determine training needs.
    • Develop and conduct training programs for Contractor’s employees, and representatives. Plan both short and long-term training goals and objectives.
    • Provide technical support for maintenance staff in preparation of operations method statements and risk assessment.
    • On a daily basis inspect work places for compliance with HSE requirements;
    • Provide HSE observation and monitoring during execution of complex works (e.g. emergency works, simultaneous works);
    • Provide the technician personnel with PPE required to execute the work. Inspect that PPE is available and properly applied.
    • Ensure that all employees follow safety and environment rules and receive proper training in the use of the facility equipment.
    • Liaise with Company HSE department and regularly participate in HSE meeting held by the Company. 
    • Responsible for diving the service centre safety culture towards “Zero – Accident” tolerance, with a particular focus on “safety behavior” at all levels
    • All accidents investigated and reported upon within the time frame set forth by the company
    • Investigate incidents and near misses, determine the cause and propose corrective measures necessary to prevent the recurrence. 
    • Take participation in PTW review and approval;
    • Provides regular communication and updates about any changes to the EHS.

     

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

     

    Education and/or Experience:

     

    • Bachelor's degree  with minimum five (5) years experience in oil & gas industry
    • Minimum five (5) years experience as  HSE Coordinator in oil and gas industry.
    • Formal training in Safety and Risk Management
    • NEBOSH certification / OHSAS / NEBOSH & Safety Course Diploma
    • Organizational skills
    • Strong influencing skills, interpersonal, leadership skills, ability to communicate at all levels & PC and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work together, share experience and train & motivate sub-ordinates.
    • Minimum English level - intermediate. 

    Basic Requirement

     

     

    Reasoning Ability:

     

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

     

     

    Computer Skills: Be a computer literate with MS Office & Windows exposure

     

     

    Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

     

     

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

     

    IGC NEBOSH or IOSH or  Qualified EMS & OHSAS Internal Auditor
